The Collection

This is an overview of what the majority of the site content will cover. I figured people might have some questions when I refer to something in my vintage shoebox or Topps Shoebox Legends project I hope this page will help answer some of those questions. But feel free to reach out to me too!

Topps Shoebox Legends
The Topps Shoebox Legends project is a set of three separate binders marking the decades of the 1960s, 1970s, and 1980s. Each decade brings its own journey in characters, designs, and stories.

The Vintage Shoebox
Loaded with all kinds of vintage cardboard from the 1930s early gum cards to the 1950s Topps flagship issues. These cards are true pieces of art and often come with creases, ink, and well-loved corners.

Topps Red Sox Team Sets
This one speaks for itself. From 1951 Topps Red Backs to today’s flagship issues, it’s a tribute to one of baseball’s most storied franchises. Each decade is housed in its own binder as seen from the spines image above.

Tools of Ignorance
This collection is all about the hardest position on the diamond … catcher. There is just something about vintage cardboard depicting catchers in all their tools (gear). From Cochrane, The Spy, Yogi, and Bench, these pages are littered with loads of oddball, regional, and mainstream issues.
